Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

This is the Privacy Policy for Virality, the short-form video service at virality.secarius.fr. It describes what Virality stores, why it stores it, and how long it keeps it, and it is written to be checked against the software rather than to sound reassuring.

What we store

Your account: email address and a hashed password. The password is hashed, never stored or recoverable in readable form.

Your media: the video and audio you upload or fetch by link, the clips cut from it, and the videos rendered from those clips.

Your text: captions, titles, descriptions and the notes you write.

Connected accounts: for each social account you connect, an access token, the account’s public display name and its platform id. Tokens are encrypted at rest.

Model transcripts: what was sent to an AI model and what it answered, kept for 48 hours so a bad caption can be diagnosed, then deleted automatically.

Who else sees it

A platform you connect receives the video and its caption when you publish to it, because that is what publishing means. An AI model provider receives the frames and text needed to write captions and to label clips. A stock-media provider receives your search terms when you search it. Nobody else.

We do not sell data, and we run no advertising or third-party analytics.

What we never do with your footage

Your uploaded footage is not used to train any model. It is processed to produce the videos you asked for, and for nothing else.

How long we keep it

Your content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Model transcripts are deleted after 48 hours. Disconnecting a social account deletes its stored token immediately.

Deleting your data

Deleting your account removes your media, your text and your connected-account tokens. Anything already published to a social platform lives on that platform under its own rules — deleting here cannot unpublish there, and you delete those posts on the platform itself.

Where it lives

Data is stored on servers operated for this instance, not on a shared multi-tenant service. Every stored row is scoped to the account that owns it, and a request is answered only for the account that made it.

Cookies

One session cookie, set when you sign in, so the site knows it is still you. No tracking cookies and no third-party cookies.

Your rights

You can export or delete your content at any time from within the app. To ask for a copy of what is stored about you, to correct it, or to have it erased, write to contact@secarius.fr. We answer within 30 days.
